B.O.D.

Before Cristian "Babe" Guzman stepped into the batters box in the 7th (and before the Tigers started dropping everything in sight) this was a close game. Indeed, when Corey Koskie crossed the plate in the 7th it seemed like that run would be the deciding one.

O! Koskie! Your small ball! Your hustle! With the game tied at 1, you worked a walk from Maroth, as hard as the home plate umpire Laz Diaz tried to keep you from that free pass you coveted so dearly. Then, just as Dick Bremer was saying how hard it was to steal off Maroth, you took your aged and decrepit body and threw it towards second. The rest is Keystone Kops history. You manufactured the go-ahead run, which looked really great until we scored 5 more, and then it became kind of quaint. But still, it was the thought that counts. And that makes you, Cordel Koskie, Boyfriend of the Day.

Field/Readers 14, Dougie/Goober 8, Corey/Jeb 8, Sooz/Shannon 6, Joe/Batgirl 6.
